FAQ
How far do you travel? (for regular booked session, not weddings or elopements).
I am located in the Dayton area, and typically serve the Beavercreek, Huber Heights, Centerville area, but I am willing and like to travel! I am willing to travel up to 30 minutes (20-25 miles) from the Beavercreek area without an additional fee; after that there will be a small additional fee the coordinates with the extra distance being traveled :)
What if I want to book a studio?
I absolutely adore shooting in studios! If you are wanting to go that route I will spend time helping you choose the perfect studio that fits your liking and needs, and then for pricing it will be the cost of the studio rental + the cost of package 2 or 3. I do not offer studio rentals for my first package, as the vast majority of studios require you to book for at least 1 hour.
What should I wear for my photos?
I love this question! When investing in photos it is important to be sure everything is nice and cohesive. My suggestion is to always first think about the weather, the season, and location of your photos. What colors will be around you? Are we taking them in a green field, or a completely white studio? These are all important when planning colors! The colors that photograph best are always neutrals and earth tones, so any sort of muted or soft colors, and many of the colors you can see in nature.
Solid colors and very light patterns always look the best, as they tend to bring out your features and make you stand out from your background! Accessories can also add to your outfit to help it represent who are you and make outfits more interesting, so make sure you do that accordingly.
Ultimately, it is up to you for what you want to wear and what you feel the most comfortable and confident in! If you would like further guidance I have, and can, specially curate mood and vision boards according to your needs.
Do you offer unedited images / RAWS?
I do not offer RAW, unedited images. Editing is what makes your photos so special, and is what takes the most time to do! It truly is crucial to your photo investment, and something I take a lot of pride in!
Can I alter my images?
I am gladly willing and will try to accommodate any changes that are desired, but I ask all my clients to review my portfolio before booking to make sure you like my editing and photography style. If not, no problems, I can help give recommendations that can help meet your style needs.
But please, do not alter images or edit over the photographers work, as it does not represent my work if it has been altered!
When will I receive my photos?
I will send out sneak peaks within 48 hours of your session, and the full session will be sent out in 2-3 weeks. During the busy season, it can take from 4 - 6 weeks.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
This is not a problem, we are all human and have things come up! So please, do not panic! If you need to reschedule I just ask that you inform me at least 24 hours in advanced - if this is the case I will apply your non-refundable retainer fee to whichever day you reschedule. If you need to cancel, not a problem at all, but please be aware that your non-refundable retainer fee will not be able to be applied to any other future date.
How can I make the most of my session?
Wow! This is such a powerful question, and I'm glad you're thinking about it! I would suggest first by taking time to think what your goals are for it, is there any specific poses you want to capture? Is there a special occasion? etc. Asking yourself these questions and sharing your ideas with me will help us create the most magical photos to capture your stories. Another thing to think about is what we can do to make sure your photos represent who you are; is there props you want to bring? All of this plays a huge role, and I am here to help! At time of booking I will send over a small questionnaire to make sure we can brainstorm together!
What if it rains?
This is a question I wanted to be sure I had a specific section for! As I am sure you know, I am based in Ohio, and many of you are also from Ohio, so you know how difficult and frustrating the weather can be at times. If it is raining, especially unexpectedly, the day of your session, we can discuss our action plan. Most of the time if it is a *very* light drizzle, we should be able to continue as planned! But, unfortunately anything much more I am not able to truly take my equipment outside. If the rain poses a problem early on, we may be able to discuss indoor shooting options, such as a studio, but that would add an additional studio cost, and is not a guarantee :(
If worst comes to worst, we can just reschedule as usual!
